We were on Andrew Yang’s Podcast! 5 Takeaways
Yesterday, Sway was featured on Andrew Yang’s Podcast. Andrew Yang is a former presidential candidate, a current co-chair of the Forward Party, and now, an enthusiastic Sway user.

Read on for 5 of our biggest takeaways from the podcast, which you can find on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or Youtube.
1 — Sway is neutral
We care deeply about politics, and each of us at Sway has our individual political views. That’s why we’re keeping the platform politically neutral — to allow others to express and build backing for theirs. Sway will not support one issue, candidate, or party over another.
2 — Political parties are not perfect . . . to say the least
Political parties are supposed to represent people’s opinions, and they also inform people how to vote. Parties often fail to do the former, meaning the information they provide is flawed. On Sway, you can provide and receive voting recommendations based on the issues you most care about, not just your party.
3 — Sway is more “Partiful” than social media
Sway can verify your voter registration status in less than a minute. Then, you can exchange notifications on elections that actually matter to your issues — and go vote like it’s a party! Unlike social media, we aren’t using algorithms to polarize your feed, and we certainly won’t let bots become leaders.
4 — Local issues are global issues
Wherever you are in the world, there’s probably something that matters to you. Accurate political representation is a global problem, and that’s why Sway will be a global network. You might just find that your cause is more similar to others than you had realized, even if they’re halfway across the world.
5 — #FixTheCrosswalk
It’s not just reimagining democracy that keeps Claire up at night. She started her own Sway page to make her local crosswalk safer, and now, almost 60 verified voters support her cause. We’d love for you to join us — because we know you’ve got something to fight for, no matter how big or small.
